AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode (Former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib) and Ranjit Singh Kukki today met Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar at the psychiatry ward of Guru Nanak Hospital here. It is notable that Prof. Bhullar is being given ailment for suffering from schizophrenia in a separate ward after his transfer to Punjab. Team of doctors headed by Dr. PD Garg is performing his medical check-up two times a day.
After the meeting, Jasbir Singh Rode maintained that Prof. Bhullar is recovering slowly.
On being questioned of parole chances for Prof. Bhullar, his wife Bibi Navneet Kaur stated that health of Prof. Bhullar is foremost and after completing medical treatment, we will think of filing application for parole.
It is worth mentioning that the Police had fixed two days Tuesday and Saturday with certain time limit for Prof. Bhullar’s supporters to meet him. Due to massive number of supporter’s visit to hospital, police is denying permission for ordinary persons to meet Prof. Bhullar. Yesterday, two young nursing trainees sought permission to meet Prof. Bhullar but the Police didn’t let them enter the ward. The trainees then met Bibi Navneet Kaur and extended their well wishes for Prof. Bhullar.
Beside the above mentioned personalities, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, Prof. Bhullar’s paternal cousin S. Mehal Singh and a relative S. Darshan Singh met Prof. Bhullar yesterday.
