JAMMU & KASHMIR—On the eve of antim ardas of Shaheed Bhai Jashjeet Singh Jammu, All India Sikh Students Federation (Peer Mohammad) and Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala (Amritsar) honoured the family of Shaheed Bhai Jashjeet Singh Jammu with Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale award.
AISSF President Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad said that Bhai Jashjeet Singh had sacrificed his life while protesting against the State’s attempt to demoralize the voice for Sikh Sovereignty. He said that state can tear the posters of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale from public places but can never the wash his respect from hearts of Sikhs. “We are feeling proud by honouring Bhai Jashjeet Singh’s family with Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale award,” he added.
Dr. Gurjinder Singh, President of SYFB (Amritsar) stated that from time to time atrocities committed by Indian State had made the Sikh masses feel its condition of second class citizens in this country. He said that the pro Hindutva organizations like RSS, Shiv Sena, Jan Sangh, Bajran Dal and others were regularly performing activities to hurt the sentiments of minority religions residing in India. He added that the BJP government was providing them cover instead of controlling them. “Sikhs will never tolerate the disrespect of its prophets and role models,” he added.
