AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Health condition of Sikh political prisoner Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar who has been shifted from Delhi’s Tihar jail to Amritsar jail on June 12, has reportedly met a bit improvement.
Prof. Bhullar is receiving treatment in Swami Vivekanand Mental Hospital. Doctors have observed some improvement in his health condition. They told his wife Bibi Navneet Kaur Bhullar that last night he took better sleep. Bibi Bhullar expressed satisfaction over the treatment being provided to her husband.
Meanwhile, various Panthik leaders including Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, Damdami Taksal (Mehta) chief Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, United Akali Dal leader Bhai Mohkam Singh met Prof. Bhullar and enquired about his health condition.
Baba Daduwal thanked Punjab government for shifting Prof. Bhullar to Amritsar jail and demanded his wife be permitted to accompany him while receiving medical treatment. He also sought his immediate release on parole.
On the other hand, Bhai Mohkam Singh alleged that government deployed policemen around Prof. Bhullar in large number. He apprehended that this move would cause ill effect on his mental condition.
