LUDHIANA, Punjab—Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab unit convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur today met Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa who is on hunger strike since January 16 for permanent release of Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails of India despite completion of their terms.
During his visit, several AAP activists accompanied him. Chhotepur extended support to the cause of Bapu Surat Singh, stating that attitude of State as well as Union government toward the issue of release of Sikh prisoners is condemn-able.
It is worth mentioning that few days ago AAP founder leader Yogendra Yadav who has parted ways with Arvind Kejriwal, also met Bapu Jee and announced to support him.
Noted Sikh preacher Baba Daler Singh Kheri Sahib wale was also present there when Chhotepur held meeting with Bapu jee and his family.
