Aam Aadmi Party Organizes Cycle Rally To Seek Justice for Victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide

Cycle Rally in support of 1984 victims 2NEW DELHI, India—Led by the Aam Aadmi Party leader and senior advocate S. HS Phoolka, a cycle rally was organized to seek justice for the victims of 1984 Sikh genocide.  The cyclists traveled 31 kilometers this past Saturday to seek justice and raise awareness.  A number of human rights organizations also joined the rally.

During the rally, Sikh activist also submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through local authorities demanding that the investigations by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) established by Centre was nullified and all 237 cases of mass killings registered in Delhi be re-investigated.

In the memorandum, they also sought that a charge-sheet be filed in the Nangloi case and the case be reopened against Jagdish Tytler. They gave ultimatum to dispose of all genocide cases within six months.

AAP MP Harinder Singh Khalsa, Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar, AAP MLAs Jarnail Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Avtar Singh Kalkaji and president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi–UK), Jasjit Singh also took part in the rally. Lok Raj Sangathan president Parkash Rao and Harinder Singh Khalsa flagged off the rally which concluded on Janter-Manter.

Phoolka said that the Police, investigation agencies, governments and judiciary do not succeed in punishing culprits of the genocide.
