LUDHIANA, Punjab—Navtej Singh, the great grandson of Shaheed S. Darshan Singh Pheruman today visited Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s home to appreciate his struggle for the release of Sikh detainees.
Strictly condemning the act of force feeding Bapu Ji by Punjab Government, he said that current Punjab Government is on path of dictatorship.
“Shaheed Darshan Singh Pheruman was not force fed by the Government,” he said. “Nothing was done against his wishes but it’s sad that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is going through so much.”
S. Darshan Singh Pheruman commenced a hunger strike of 74 days to protest against injustices being delivered to the Punjabi people. He fulfilled the ardas which was broken by previous leaders.
