NEW DELHI, India—Crisis in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have refused to die down. Now, the AAP MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann has demanded party’s founding members Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav to be expelled from the party.

The comedian turned politician has alleged that Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav are damaging the party’s image. He said that the party dealt with them with soft hands by expelling them from political affairs committee (PAC).  He instead insisted that both should have been expelled from the party altogether.

Mann stated that the party was supreme and above individual members, and early action against those who go against policies would be in the interest of the party. He said such people should have no place in the Aam Aadmi Party.

Talking to media persons, he said both the leaders were making conspiracies against the party during Delhi Assembly elections, alleging that both the leaders left no stone unturned to damage the party, as well as the image of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

It is worth mentioning that Parshant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav wanted that the party should not be a one man show and real democracy should prevail in the structure. Kejriwal’s supporters considered this a conspiracy and they expelled both the senior leaders from the key panel. Now, statement of Mann has deepened the crisis more.
