Kiran Bedi Blames Delhi BJP Leadership For Defeat

KiranBedi_Reuters1NEW DELHI—Former IPS officer and BJP Chief Ministerial candidate, Kiran Bedi, not just suffered a massive defeat in the Delhi Assembly polls, but led to the defeat of the entire party.  Kiran Bedi lost from Krishna Nagar, the constituency which was seen as stronghold of the BJP.  Kiran Bedi was defeated by AAP’s SK Bagga by a margin of 2,277 votes.

Kiran Bedi was seen as an arrogant lady throughout the election campaign.  She stated that it was not her who lost, but the BJP.  ” BJP needs to introspect on the loss, as I gave everything to the election campaign,” she stated.

She called her own constituency “dirty”, where people felt neglected from the party leadership.  Krishan Nagar is seen as the home of senior BJP leader Harsh Vardhan.

Kiran Bedi congratulated Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter, asking him to work for the people of Delhi and to cooperate with their needs.  “I am sure Arvind and his team will give all that he has promised to Delhi’s poor as soon as possible. Confrontational approach will not work now, but cooperation will,” she added.
