AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee (SGPC) has written letters to the Governors and Chief Ministers of all states regarding the permanent release of Sikh detainees. Spokesperson of SGPC S. Diljeet Singh Bedi (Additional Secretary) informed that a five member team constituting S. Karnail Singh Panjoli, S. Dalmegh Singh, S. Manjit Singh (Secretary) and S. Diljeet Singh Bedi (Additional Secretary) will meet the Governor of Uttar Pardesh Sri Ram Nayak on 9th February about the release of 90 year old prisoner S. Wariam Singh. It is notable that S. Wariam Singh has lost his eyesight during his imprisonment. Executive Committee of SGPC has also passed a resolution to ensure the permanent release of Sikh detainees.
