Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu Sent to Three Day Police Remand Despite Health Concerns

JAGRAON, Punjab—Today, a Jalandhar court sent Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu on three day police remand on requests of the Jagraon police.  Bhai Mintu will be taken into remand in relation to a 2008 that has been pending against him.

It is notable that District Police (Rural) of Ludhiana arrested Bhai Mintu from New Delhi Airport.  Bhai Mintu was deported to India by Thailand Government authorities after requests from Indian Government.

Police has alleged that Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu is a senior activist of the Khalistan Liberation Force.  They have also tried to frame into a number of other cases, by alleging him as a Babbar Khalsa leader as well.

Meanwhile, Bhai Harminder Singh has complained of serious pain.  He was earlier undergoing heart surgery, however due to short police remand, which later might be extended, his treatment may be hindered.
