CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Chief Parliament Secretary (CPS) of Punjab and BJP MLA from Amritsar (East) Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu who is wife of cricketer turned politician Navjot Sidhu, made a sensational statement saying that the coalition politics always had to face problems and BJP should break alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as party workers did not receive due respect by the senior alliance partner.

Dr. Sidhu said BJP and its mentor Rashtrya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were taking steps in the right direction. “It is right time to take such steps. BJP should contest in the next Punjab assembly elections 2017 alone. It is the right time to get out from the alliance with SAD,” she said.

She contended that following coalition dharma, one has to compromise on various issues and in the case of the ruling alliance of Punjab, BJP could not ensure implementation of its policies and principles.

She was here to attend the function organized at BJP office to honour its leader Vijay Sampla who has been included in Modi’s cabinet as Minister of State.
