FRANKFURT, Germany—Sikhs in Germany and various Panthik organizations are all set to protest on the Indian Independence Day on Friday, 15 August 2014 in Frankfurt.

The annual protest has been called by a number of Europe based Sikh organizations, including the Babbar Khalsa, Sikh Federation (Germany), Dal Khalsa International (Germany), Sikh Federation International (Germany) and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar. These organizations have requested the entire Sikh sangat to attend the protest on August 15.

The protest is being organized as India has continued to sideline its minorities.  In 1984, tens of thousands of Sikhs were killed in State sponsored oppression.  Injustice to the Sikhs has continued in recent years.

The protest will be held at the Consulate General of India Friedrich Ebert Anlage 26 60325 Frankfurt am Main. Demonstrations will continue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
