Toronto Sikhs Organize Kesri Car Rally and Sovereignty Conference to Mark 30th Anniversary of 3rd Ghallughara (Holocaust)

Dateline:The Sikh sangat (congregation) of Toronto organized a “Kesri car rally” to mark the 30th anniversary of army attack on Dabar Sahib (Golden Temple) complex in Amritsar, and other Sikh gurdwaras located in Punjab and adjoining states. The Indian Army’s attack on Sikh Gurdwaras in June 1984 was code-named as “Operation Blue Star.” This attack is regarded as the beginning of 3rd major Ghallughara (holocaust) of Sikh history.

Toronto Kesri Car Rally With Canadian Flag

The Sikh organizations of Toronto organized a “Kesri car Rally” on 7, June 2014. The Rally began at 12:30 pm when it left Woodbine Mall and proceeded to tour various Sikh Gurdwaras located in Brampton and the city of Mississauga. The Kesri Car Rally procession visited Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton (Missisauga), Gurdwara Jot Prakash (Brampton), Gurdwara Guru Nanak Mission Center (Brampton), and Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Center (Brampton), before ending at 4:00 pm upon reaching Gurdwara Ontario Khalsa Darbar Dixie Rd (Mississauga). Sikh sangat at every Gurdwara welcomed the rally.

Kesri Car Rally With Khalistan Banner and Canadian Flag

About 100 cars took part in the rally and every Car had  both a “Khalistan” and Canadian Flag on it. Eight Harley Davidson Motorcycles were in the lead. The discipline of the rally was remarkable.

A Sikh Sovereignty conference was held at Dixie Gurdwara after the rally ended. The conference was addressed by S. Jagmeet Singh Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) (Bramlea Gore Malton), S. Sukhminder Singh Hansra, S. Satnam Singh, and S. Avtar Singh Punia.
