FRESNO, CA, USA—A gas explosion in the home of a Punjabi Sikh family has left their 14 year old son severely burned. J. Singh, the teenager from Fowler, was rushed to Fresno’s Community Hospital where is currently being treated for third degree burns.
The incident took place last night when the gas burner in the outside kitchen was left on for too long. The young teenager was trying to turn off the gas when the burner exploded.
Singh’s situation is said to be critical and local community has requested everyone to pray for his well-being and recovery.
Although only 14 years old, Singh is a bright student at school, and learns classical Gurmat music, along with Sikh martial arts. Fowler is a small town, located south of Fresno on Highway 99, close to Gurdwara Gur Nanak Parkash.
