CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was presented in the Ropar Session Court of Judge Jatinder Kaur on March 19, 2014 in the case of an alleged bomb plot against Piara Bhaniara, who’s cult is embroiled in allegations of burning copies of the sacred Guru Granth Sahib, and creating a blasphemous book. Bhai Hawara is charged under the Arms and Explosives Act.
Amid the usual high security that accompanies any court appearance by Hawara, there were some extras. A police dog squad was present to provide further protection, and Innova cars belonging to the Delhi Police, as well as Punjab Police vehicles, traveled in front, and behind, the prison bus transporting Bhai Hawara, providing extra back-up.
On behalf of Jagtar Singh Hawara, Advocate Sarbjit Singh Bains made a request to the judge. Bhai Hawara’s his appearances in Ropar which usually last about 30 minutes, require him to be transported all the way from Delhi, and back again within a single day. That’s 16 hours of traveling without a toilet break, or any stop along the way. Advocate Bains suggested that Hawara be brought to Ropar the night before his appearance so that the extreme traveling does not have an adverse effect on his health. The judge may take a decision at the next court hearing which for April 3, 2014. Bhai Hawara also appeared in the hearing of a Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA)
case, in the court of Judge Harsimran Singh, where Chamkaur Sahib Police have registered charges under Sections 302, and 307, of the Indian Penal Code.
Bhai Hawara’s family, including his elderly mother, and aunt, were present as were his well-wishers who had gathered in large numbers, all waiting patiently for a glimpse of their hero. In the fleeting moments before being whisked away by security personnel, Bhai Hawara gave another message to the Sangat congregated there. In a previous press release, Bhai Hawara had urged the Sangat to pledge their full support for organizations that speak out for human rights, and raise awareness of the atrocities committed against Sikhs. He quoted from Gurbani scripture basically to say ‘give to charity using great wisdom’. He especially referred to the international Sangat, who feel the pain of the Panth society of Sikhs, to give their dasvand (tithe donations) to the right causes by using their intellect to ascertain if the money is reaching the shaheed (martyrs) family, or prisoners’ family, for whom it is intended, the proof being in the results.ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਤਿਹਾੜ ਜੇਲ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੂਰਪੁਰ ਬੇਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਦਰਜ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸਖ਼ੱਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸੁਰਖਿਆ ਹੇਠ ਰੋਪੜ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਪੜ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੋਗ ਸਕੂਐਡ ਵੀ ਮੋਜ਼ੂਦ ਸੀ। ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਤਾਦਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਹੁਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਬੱਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਇਨੋਵਾ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਜਦਕਿ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਥਾਣਾਂ ਨੂਰਪੁਰ ਬੇਦੀ ‘ਚ ਦਰਜ ਐਕਸਪਲੋਸਿਵ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ (ਬਹੁ ਚਰਚਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਭਨਿਆਰਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ) ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਸਖ਼ੱਤ ਸੁਰਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਪੜ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਜੱਜ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ । ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਜੱਜ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਦਰਖਾਸਤ ਦਿਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰੋਪੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਭੁਗਤਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਿਹਾੜ ਜੇਲ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਮੇਂ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਅੱਧੇ ਘੰਟੇ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵੱਲ ਤਿਹਾੜ ਜੇਲ ਲਈ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲਗਭਗ 16 ਘੰਟੇ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਕੈਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵ ਜਾਂ ਪਿਸ਼ਾਬ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਇਜ਼ਾਜਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ । ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਜੱਜ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਤੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਊਣ ਤੇ ਲੈਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰੋਪੜ ਲਿਆਕੇ ਜੇਲ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਰਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਥਾਣੇ ਰਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੈਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਮਾੜਾ ਅਸਰ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ। ਜਿਸਤੇ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਜੱਜ ਵਲੋਂ 3 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਥਾਣੇ ‘ਚ ਦਰਜ਼ ਧਾਰਾ 302 ਅਤੇ 307 ਸਮੇਤ ਟਾਡਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਜੁਡੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਮੈਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਟ ਫਸਟ ਕਲਾਸ ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਖ਼ੱਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸੁਰਖਿਆ ‘ਚ ਆਏ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਰੋਪੜ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੇਸਵਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਜੇ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਮਾਈ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲਗਜ਼ਰੀ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਜ਼ਹਾਜ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਪੰਗਤੀ ”ਅਕਲੀ ਪੜਿ ਕੈ ਬੁਝੀਐ ਅਕਲੀ ਕੀਚੈ ਦਾਨੁ” ਨੂੰ ਜਰੂਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਚੰਦ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੱਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਦਰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਪੰਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਾਂ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿੰਮੇਂਵਾਰ ਪੰਥਕ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਘੋਖ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੱਕ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਜ਼ਾਇਜ ਲਾਭ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਸਕੇ ,ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਜੇਲੀ ਸੜ ਰਹੇ ਨੋਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਹਨ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦਾਲ ਫੁਲਕਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮੰਦੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਰ-ਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਅਤਿ ਮੰਦਭਾਗਾ ਹੈ।
ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਮਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਕਤ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਪੜ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਲੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਤਰੀਕ 3 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2014 ਤੇ ਪਾ ਦਿਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਦਿਆਂ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਖੜਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਤੇ ਹਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜੂਰਗ ਮਾਤਾ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ,ਤਾਇਆ ਸ. ਬੇਵਾ ਸਿੰਘ ,ਸ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸ. ਗੁਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਮੋਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
