ANANDPUR SAHIB—On Wednesday, arriving from Delhi’s Tihar Jail in an armoured police bus, [Bhai] Jagtar Singh Hawara arrived in the holy city of Anandpur Sahib—a city where everyday thousands of other Sikhs pay their respects at the birthplace of the Khalsa.
As usual there was a heavy police presence surrounding Hawara and he only managed to snatch a few words with his well-wishers, among who were his mother, aunt, and niece. Also present were prominent Sikh leaders; Amrik Singh Ajnala, Harpal Singh Cheema, Gurbachan Singh, and Gurdeep Singh.
Hawara was in Anandpur [Sahib] to appear in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate, Amandeep Singh, in the case of the alleged bomb plot against Piara Bhaniara. A controversial cult leader, Bhaniara’s sect is embroiled in allegations of burning copies of the sacred Guru Granth Sahib and he also created a blasphemous book called Bhavsagar Granth. The State prosecutor told the court that the case against Hawara and 5 others was registered on 10 January 2005. Some of the defendants have been acquitted of the charges but Hawara is still fighting to clear his name.
The next date in this hearing was set for 19 March 2014 in the Roop Nagar Sessions Court.
ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ (5 ਮਾਰਚ,2014): ਅੱਜ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਭਨਿਆਰਾਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਬੰਬ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ ਤਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਆਰ ਜੁਡੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਮੈਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਟ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਦੱਸਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਮੋਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਕਰੜੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਜਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋ ਬਖਤਰਬੰਦ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਫੋਰਸ ਸਮੇਤ ਲਿਆਦਾਂ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 10 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2005 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੁਲ 5 ਬੰਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਬਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਇਹ ਕੇਸ ਚਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ 19 ਮਾਰਚ 2014 ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਰਟ ਰੋਪੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਵੇਗੀ।ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਆਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਸੱਕੇ ਸਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ, ਮਾਸੀ, ਭਤੀਜੀ ਤੋ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਭਾਈ ਅਮਰੀਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਜਨਾਲਾ, ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੀਮਾ, ਗੁਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ,ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਦਿ ਹਾਜਰ ਸਨ।
