AMRITSAR SAHIB— Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will be organizing a large religious program to welcome the Nanakshahi New Year (546) at Manji Sahib Diwan Hall (Sri Darbar Sahib complex) on the midnight of 31 Falgun (13 March).
Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib, Sardar Partap Singh said in a press release that Hazuri Ragis of Sri Darbar Sahib namely Bhai Sarbjit Singh, Bhai Ravinder Singh, Bhai Gurkirat Singh, Bhai Rai Singh, Bhai Inderjit Singh, and Bhai Gurmeet Singh Shant will perform Gurbani Kirtan during the Samagam.
“To celebrate new year as per Sikh tenets, Giani Gurbachan Singh, appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Jagtar Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib and Avtar Singh Makkar president of SGPC will attend the occasion”, he said, adding that the Samagam would be held from 7.00 P.M. to 12.30 A.M. and would be telecast lively at PTC Channel.
He appealed to Sikhs to attend the program with their families.
