Amritsar, (January 06, 2014): Panthik organizations have demanded to build memorial of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh, Bhai Beant Singh and Bhai Kehar inside Darbar Sahib Complex.
Numerous activists of the organizations which included Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani), Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Dal Khalsa were assembled at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to mark martyrdom day of both martyrs. The samagam was also attended by family members of Shaheed Satwant Singh besides Sikh sangat.
Giani Gubachan Singh, appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib honoured Bapu Tarlok Singh, father of Shaheed Satwant Singh.
Leaders of Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) made appeal to Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib to ensure a memorial for Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh, Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh inside the Darbar Sahib complex. They said that the memorial may be in any form while adding that such a memorial was must.
S. Simranjit Singh Mann, president Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal (Panthik Sewa Lehar), Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema (Akali Dal Panch Pardhani), S. Baldev Singh Sirsa, S. Kanwar Pal Singh (Dal Khalsa), Bhai Mohkam Singh and leaders Sikh Youth of Punjab paid rich tribute to the great martyres.
