Chandigarh (December, 2013):  Bhai Shamsher Singh And Bhai Lakhwinder Singh who were lodged in Burail jail as a result of the Beant Singh assassination case, were today released on parole from Burail Jail at around 7.30 pm (IST).

Upon receiving news of the parole release of Lakhwinder Singh and Shamsher Singh, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, performed an ardas of thanks giving with the gathered Sangat at Akal Takht. He also announced the end of his hunger strike after 44 days.
