Plymouth, UK—A Plymouth councillor has been selected to contest a parliamentary seat in the next general election.
Chaz Singh, member for Drake ward on Plymouth City Council, will run in an attempt to oust incumbent Tory MP Gary Streeter in South West Devon.
Cllr Singh failed in his bid earlier this year for selection for the Plymouth Sutton and Devonport seat held by Conservative MP Oliver Colvile.
