Missing Sikh Pensioner Murdered in Chatham,UK Shop: Three Men Appear in Court

KENT, UK—Kent Police arrested four men after the body of a woman, thought to be Harjit Chaggar, 69, was found in a shop basement on Saturday.

Officers said three men had been charged with murdering Mrs Chaggar and they appeared in court where they were remanded in custody.

A 27-year-old Chatham man has been released on bail pending inquiries.

Abdul Hannan, 44, and Murshed Miah, 38, both from Maidstone, and Mohammed Liakat Islam, 28, from Gillingham, appeared before Medway magistrates.

They will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 20 September.

Mrs Chaggar was last seen on 2 September leaving a doctor’s surgery in Magpie Hall Road.
