Bhai Baljeet Singh Bhau was initially only permitted parole for three months however considering his father’s deteriorating health, the judge had provided him permanent bail.

As per reports by the Sikh Organization for Prisoner Welfare, Bhai Bhau’s parole extension application has been denied and he has been ordered to return to Tihar Jail.

In a press release, SOPW said, “Today was the last day of his parole and he was due in court, where he had applied for an extension to his bail due to the continuing ill health of his father. Bhai Sahib’s lawyer – Maninder Singh put forward a strong case highlighting the fact that Baljeet Singh himself requires an urgent operation to his knee also. Lawyer Maninder Singh’s lengthy arguments went unheard by Daya Prakash, the Patiala House Session Court Judge, who refused any bail extension and ordered that Baljeet Singh Bhau must return to Tihar Jail (Delhi) tonight.”

Tomorrow, Baljeet Singh Bhau will be produced back in court for his regular hearing.
