Ludhiana, PUNJAB—Parkash Badal and Sukhbir Badal are said to be in New Delhi to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pranab Mukherjee regarding clemency for Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar. The State of Punjab has been put on high alert which hints that execution of Prof. Bhullar may take place sooner than later.
The meeting may take place tomorrow, April 15 2013.
As per reports by Sikhs for Justice Organization, Sumedh Saini (DGP Punjab) has been asked to deploy various branches of paramilitary at strategic points. Twenty four CRP Companies have entered Punjab while Badals have requested for more backup.
Sumedh Saini is responsible for murder of Prof. Bhullar’s father, uncle and a close friend. His role is also alleged in murders of many other Sikhs across Punjab.
