Sikh Council UK: Overwhelming Support for Sikh Boys Arrested in Leicester

LONDON, UK—There has been a great show of support for the six Sikh boys arrested in Leicester on the 14th January 2013.

We are sure that the boys themselves and their families are truly grateful for all the support and the messages that are appearing.

We would ask that nothing be done to prejudice their forthcoming trial.

The support is welcomed and acknowledged however it would be counter productive if there was to be a mass turnout at court on the 1st February.

The families of the 6 boys would wish to attend court, a large presence in and around the court is going to attract a greater police presence and therefore media interest which will be of concern to the lawyers in the case as the jury who will try the Sikh boys will be selected from the Leicester area

Although the court is a public court, if there is a risk or fear of disorder the judge can order the public gallery to be cleared. This will result in the family members being removed or prevented from being present in court when the hearing takes place.

This will not be of any assistance or help to the boys appearing in court, it will no doubt cause them much upset and anxiety as it will the families.

  1. A message to Jas Dhaliwal….what are you implying in relation to these boys who have been arrested? If it what I think it is then I have one question for you…do you live on a different planet? These boys aren’t thugs. If JUSTICE IS DENIED it is righteous to pick up the sword…the thunderous words spoken by our beloved Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Himself.

    • Raj:
You’re interfering in justice system without anticipating judgement, let justice take its own cource. To my knowledge most of the we Sikhs do not understand Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji teaching. Guru ji was living in JUNGLE not in civilized society and dealing with dictators.

      • Justice failed here. For years Sikhs and Hindus have been calling for the police to act yet nothing has happened. I have heard and seen the evidence of grooming all the way back in early 2000 and the community was calling for action but was dismissed. The only reason it has become part of the news is that all of a sudden it came out you white, christian girls were also been targeted yet the police failed to do anything.

Look on youtube and you will find clips of what is really happening. If they convert a girl they get her to attack her religion be i Hindu, Sikhism or Christianity.

There is even evidence of these men keeping turbans to give the girls the view that they are Sikh men.

You quote Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Well let me state a line of his when talking fails one must reach for the sword.

If you keep poking a hornets nest, dont complain when the hornets attack.

  2. Thank you for entire World understands the real role of Sikhs. The Sikh Generation is getting worst every day because of Amritdharis dishonesty, It is shame for most of the Sikh Community as 95% are THUGS, may be only 5% Amritdharies are honest, sincere and hardworking. Dedicated Amritdharies sacrificed for good cause or withdrawn due to fear of false allegation. I have met only handful in my entire life. I know thugs including our Khalsa School Amritdhari Headmaster to present Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh. We have to understand GURU JI’s BANI and accept the truth that our own Sikh Community members are criminals. We know how to deal with our enemy but have problem to clean our own dirty blood. We have lot of Sikh educated fools sinking into BOOZ, DRUGS and Other bad habits and victim of desire, anger, greed, material and proud (KAAM, KRODH, LOBH, MOHN and HUNKAR). Sikhs have lost own platform to communist generation that has no respect for Sikh religion or any other community, hence involved committing crimes even in our Gurdwaras. Present real challenge is how to correct, stop deteriorating further and start improving moral and image on international level. The Sikh leaders are shameless and with contaminated blood, hence will not follow Guru Nanak Dev Ji set direction.

  3. Questions?
When was the Police first contacted by the Girls family?
When did they first do any research or investigation?
When did they know she was groomed by various men?
Why was it common knowledge amounst Sikh community yet no arrests of groomers?
Why did they ironically arrest the groomers a few days after this incident?

Young Sikhs have been failed by the system, the very system that will now make our community look like thugs and criminalise our young men. This even will go down as one of the lowest points in the history of Sikhs in UK.
