Ardas Beadbi: Akali Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka excommunicated by Sarbat Khalsa Jathedars

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a verdict addressed from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Takht Jathedars today excommunicated Akali Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka from the Sikh community. Notably, Sikandar Singh Maluka had attended an function at his home turf Rampura Phool in which a Hindu priest had imitated the sacred Sikh prayer replacing Sikh masters with Hindu deities.

Although the Akali minister Sikandar Singh Maluka was pardoned by the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedar on the condition of depositing 31,000 rupees at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and performing langar seva, along with depositing 51,000 rupees at Sri Harmandir Sahib.  However, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Takht Jathedars had annulled the pardon given to Sikandar Singh Maluka.

The trio Takht Jathedars also excommunicated the Neeldhari seminary head Satnam Singh Pipli Wala for using derogatory remarks for Mata Gujri Ji.

The Takht Jathedars have also constituted a three member committee to find out the Akali leaders guilty of begging support from anti-Sikh Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in assembly polls. SGPC executive member Surjit Singh Kalaboola will head the probing committee while S. Paramjit Singh Sahauli and S. Bahadur Singh Bhasaud will aid him.
