Announcing the outcome of an open Sangat meeting with the Gurdwara Sahib’s committee, which took place yesterday, the step was taken to prevent the Jagowala Jatha members, named as Satwinder Singh, Charan Singh and Palwinder Singh, from completing an upcoming event that had been previously booked for the 15th of January.

The UK based singing group are known to have uploaded a number of videos expressing extreme and divisive points of view against other organizations in the Panth. Most notably, when Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhandriawale’s convoy of vehicles was halted under the pretense of a shabeel (religious water and drink service), which turned out to be an assassination attempt, killing a Sikh preacher, Bhai Bhupinder Singh, the Jagowala Jatha endorsed this killing through video discourse, threatening further such killings. They had issued semi-threatening statements prior to the attack too.

The Jagowala members were immediately lambasted by Sikh Sangat across the world, who condemned their inflammatory comments as against the teachings of Sikhi and severely condemned the divisive nature of the speakers.

The Gurdwara Sahib in Frankfurt further announced that the Jagowala members will remain banned until such a time that they issue a formal and written apology to the family of Shaheed Bhai Bhupinder Singh and to the rest of the Sikh Sangat for their inflammatory statements.
