BREAKING: Govt Arrests Sikh Leaders To Prevent Planned Protest

punjab-protestsPUNJAB, India— At the behest of the government, the Punjab Police have arrested Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala and other prominent Sikh figures just two days before a large protest (‘rosse’ majara) was to take place on the 17th, as Sikhs planned to express anger at yet at further malicious desecration of sacred Gutka Sahibs.

Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala (ex-hazoori Ragi of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar – dismissed by the SGPC due to being outspoken against Badal government’s underhanded control of SGPC) was arrested along with Bhai Ram Singh, Gurdeep Singh (Sarbat Khalsa 2015 organizer), Bhai Mohkam Singh (SK2015 organizer) and many other Sikh figures.

Further information will be published as it comes in.

  1. Beleve me Nations are created and destroyed by Empire .

As for Poland the Wikepedia says :–
The establishment of a Polish state can be traced back to 966, when Mieszko

As for Czechoslovakia Wikepedia says :–

it was a sovereign state in Central Europe that existed from October 1918, when it declared its independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, until its peaceful dissolution into the Czech Republic and Slovakia on 1 January 1993.

I agree that the Killlers in 1984 were Indians but the Regime of Time was the main planners which used Nationalism as a force to carry out the Genocide .

    • No, I can’t believe you because history and simple common sense tell me that individuals are the ones who create and destroy empires. I ask you again which empire helped maharajah Ranjit Singh create the Khalsa Raj of his Punjab? None. It was just him, one charismatic leader with military prowesss and the wisdom to band together Sikh misls that forged the Sikh’s own country. It was destroyed not by the Anglo Sikh war – the british never fought Ranjit Singh when he was alive – but by the treachery of four individuals the Dogras Dhian, Gulab, Tej and Lal Singh.

Now let’s deal with your research. Oh dear. You are relying on Wikipedia entries? Don’t you know one of the great criticisms of Wikipedia is that it’s often inaccurate because of the nature of how its articles are constituted? Anybody can rewrite an article on Wikipedia and change facts, I’m sure you’ll be on there trying to blame the Sikhs for 1984 holocaust. Anyway regardless the point being made with Poland and Czechosloavakia was that both are examples where people power (the individual, the common man in the street, the little guy that you repeatedly tell readers is of no account, the small cog in the wheel) brought about change that the powerful imperial forces would have tried to resist. Both countries were enslaved as part of the Soviet empire’s communist bloc but threw off the shackles by mass protest and resistance even though when this had been done in the past many had lost their lives in brutal repression by the state (the Prague Spring of liberalisation was brutally put down by the Soviets who intended for Moscow’s stranglehold to remain no matter what the Czech people wanted). The people power of Poland and Czechoslavakia became so irresistible that they forced their countries into becoming democratic nations totally against the will of Soviet Empire. More recently we have seen the even more stark example of people power with very robust debates, heated arguments, rallies in the UK over the Brexit vote. Despite the will of your Empire (in the UK we are talking about the Government, most of the political establishment, the US and European Union) the people voted in a referendum to reassert their sense of sovereignty. The individual in the street then voting in the privacy of the electoral booth did that destruction not your fabled monolithically all powerful all seeing ‘Empire’. This proves the individual has it in his own hands to change his destiny and that old adage ‘that the people get the government they deserve’.
Now we come to your ‘I agree that the Killlers in 1984 were Indians but the Regime of Time was the main planners which used Nationalism as a force to carry out the Genocide.’ Firstly you have completely undermined your argument with this statement by elsewhere stating that there are two truths as to what happened in 1984: ‘the Sikh one and the national one’. There is of course only one truth – the historical facts which I have outlined to you in detail many times before. You are still trying to absolve Indian sarkar (politicians, police and judiciary) from the crimes against humanity they have committed and are now passing it off onto the ‘Regime of Time’? I suspect that you have been drinking a chota peg of Johny Walker when you wrote that. I ask you again a straight question which ‘empire’ specifically are you trying to blame for the Sikh holocaust and pogroms? Trying to continually deny your culpability is akin to a drunk blaming his alcoholism on the bottle in his hand.

  2. Since you have a lot of clarity of subject.
I suggest that you win elections in Punjab and make it into a state of your choice.

1984 genocide happened because Sikh Nationalist wanted to make a Nation.Let me tell you again It is not possible to form a Nation without Empires concurrence.Tell me any Nation today which has not been formed by the Empire.

The killers of Sikhs in 1984 genocide may have been Native Indians but the planning was done by the Empire.

Ranjit Singh’s Nation was destroyed by the British Empire in Anglo- Sikh war.
The Empire then gave birth to a new Nation called INDIA in 1947.

    • The Indian state was created by the British empire .
The Empire then ran the Nation with its imperial laws .
The Nation along with its laws written in its constitution was handed over to Native Indians in 1947.
Till we modify these imperial laws by wise law makers.
,Nations will enjoy power over individual rights and all the acts like TADA,POTA.will continue to be created to curb individual freedom.
Also these laws are used only in disturbed areas. and are not applied to peaceful States obeying the constitution and the law of land.
Violence against state gives birth to such kind of laws.
Now the question is how to get centre listen to your genuine demands.
This can be done by alliances with like minded parties.
So if you are able to have a all inclusive philosophy then only will you find peace and justice.

      • ‘Till we modify these imperial laws by wise law makers’. Which ones would you like Jagdish Tytler or Kamal Nath – both have clean chits from the CBI.
‘Also these (TADA,POTA) laws are used only in disturbed areas. and are not applied to peaceful States obeying the constitution and the law of land.’ ‘Violence against state gives birth to such kind of laws.’ You blame the Sikhs in the same way Hitler blamed the Jews – kind of fitting as you support the RSS which is modelled on the ideology (and fancy dress) of Hitler’s SS.
‘Now the question is how to get centre listen to your genuine demands. This can be done by alliances with like minded parties.’ The Hinduvta mafia will not appreciate you stating Sikhs demands are genuine. As for making alliance with like minded parties – which ones do you have in mind? The RSS front BJP? Shiv Sena? Both are ideologically opposed to Sikh teaching with their belief and espousal of casteism and want to dilute if not outright deny the rights of other religious minorities. I don’t want to make alliances with anyone as everyone should be standing up for decency, liberty, dignity and humanity for their fellow Indian citizen as automatically as breathing.

    • How will I win elections if I am denied the right to make speeches and present my case in public rallies or social media? How will I win elections if the media (owned by the incumbent party) misrepresents me if it reports me at all? How will I win elections if those who canvass for me are repeatedly arrested on spurious charges, released and then immediately re-arrested? The leader of a major opposition party has his car stoned in broad daylight in city of Ludhiana! You only talk cynically of elections when you know full well what is going on here in Punjab to maintain the status quo.
‘1984 genocide happened because Sikh Nationalist wanted to make a Nation’. The same old lie (akin to the one about Jews to justify racial prejudice against them) being peddled by someone who either refuses to accept historical facts (which I have outlined in detail ad nauseam on this site) or is actually brainwashed by ‘received wisdom’ akin to old wives tale. I suggest you read the books ‘1984’ by Sanjay Suri and Nikanjan Mukhopadhyay’s book ‘Sikhs – The Untold Agony of 1984’. Both authors are not Sikhs and nail the lie you continue to peddle as justification and denial of responsibility.
‘Tell me any Nation today which has not been formed by the Empire.’ From the way you have framed this question and refused to answer my own previously (which empire helped Maharjah Ranjit Singh create his Khalsa Raj sovereign state – answer is none of course and his country was undone by the treachery of 4 MEN exactly, the Dogras Dhian, Gulab, generals Tej and Lal Singh who collaborated with the East India Company’s forces who would have otherwise lost the critical battle of Ferozeshah) you only want to talk of countries in present. So let us see. Lech Wałęsa was a Polish labour activist who co-founded and headed Solidarity, the Soviet bloc’s first independent trade union, which through people power (mass public demonstrations and civil disobedience) led to the independence of Poland. Then there is Václav Havel who was a Czech writer, philosopher and dissident, who led the people power peaceful “Velvet Revolution” that returned Czechoslovakia to a liberal democracy. Slovak national aspirations strengthened and Czechoslovakia peacefully split into the independent Czech Republic and Slovakia. No empires involved, just individuals and the masses out on the streets in peaceful public demonstrations and civil disobedience. You want more examples do the research and enlighten yourself rather than trying to frighten the Sikhs with the mantra you normally feed to the poor downtrodden Dalit, ‘you are insignificant, you cannot change a thing, submit and accept your lot in life’. The mass murderers (killers is far too soft a term) of Sikhs in 1984 and onwards were all Indians – no white faced Europeans amongst them – and they followed orders from other Indians who drew up plans formulated by other Indians. The ONLY attack plan drawn up by your phantom foreign ‘Empire’ (which one was it exactly you never seem to name it, is it the same cabal of aliens in the reptilian overlord conspiracy theory?) was the the British SAS plan to attack Darbar Sahib that the Indian army rejected!

  3. M Singh Facts are presented before rational humans who are capable of sorting right from wrong and not before trained parrots ( I hope I am not insulting the parrots) likes of Harinder who are speaking the language of their masters. Keep it up.

  4. What law are unjust may I know from you in our constitution ?
No body knows as yet the bedabi done of our Sri :Guru Granth Sahbi”.
It is a mystery and will always remain one because of the simple nature of our people.
How is leading a Protest equal to winning a elections ?
Shaheeds Udham Singh, Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi were produced when we were ruled by he British Empire . Today we are ruling our selves and charting our own destiny.
As for 1984 genocide is concerned it happened because Nations are created and destroyed by Empires. No one can form a Nation with out the concurrence of Empire.

    • It seems your archaic devotion to fictional fantastic flying monkey kings has inclined you to act like the three monkeys of the Chinese pantheon in regards to ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’. What laws are unjust in our constitution? Are you serious or just ignorant? Where to begin, well we could start with the discredited TADA laws and POTA Act which permitted police officers to kidnap, torture, murder and mass cremate Sikhs with total impugnity. Ask former policeman (who was sacked and then reinstated after having been found guilty!) Gurmeet Pinky. Oh, no you can’t because even the judge refuses to hear his whistleblower testimony. How about the law that once forced Sikhs to have to marry under the Hindu Marriage Act even though they like their Muslim and Christian are not and have never been Hindus? How about the law that allows the theft of Punjab’s waters – see the documentary ‘Final Assault’ which brilliantly presents the evidence if it is not banned for doing so. Oh, that reminds me, let us not forget the censorship laws which will ban historical films about Sikhs (presenting painful historical truths positive images of Sikhs to the masses) such as Sadda Haq, Kaum de Heere, Blood Street, Delhi 1984 et al but will fully endorse Nanak Shah Fakir, Super Jatt (which presents a SIkh with cut beard and the faith’s Khanda on his chest!) films which mock Sikhs and their faith. How about the eduation laws which allow rewriting of school text books which make now make passing references to Sikhi after having had offending passages removed because of Sikh protest? Talking of Sikh protest let us not forget the laws which allow arbitrary arrest, release and immediate re-arrest of Sikhs wanting to speak even on the anniversary of attack on Darbar Sahib to other Sikhs? The laws which allow any Sikh to be accused of sedition on trumped on charges and chases them across the world where the evidence is rejected by impartial judiciary? Remember the fiasco of Portugal where the police who were sent to extradite a Sikh had to scurry back to India lest they be arrested for the torture allegations made against them? And let us not forget the laws which allow Sikhs to be convicted on false evidence and then kept languishing in prison years after their sentences have been served and then the law which allows the repeated kidnapping and force feeding of an elderly Sikh on hunger strike to highlight such an injustice. Need I go on and on?
“No body knows as yet the bedabi done of our Sri :Guru Granth Sahbi” You don’t even know the term ‘beadbi’ let alone comprehend the gravity of the offence so don’t even attempt the cynical ‘our Sri Guru Granth Sabhi (it is Guru Granth ‘Sahib’) ploy. You have stated time and again on this website that desecration is only of a ‘holy book’ and Sikhs should not get to worked up about it. And it is not a mystery and certainly not to Sikhs who are an intelligent people not a simple minded as you want to believe (no doubt led to this conclusion by your puppets the Badals and SGPC who want to impress the notion donkeys can lead lions). Nobody knows who did the beadbi? Really? Why then Shiv Sena Punjab leaders resign opposing disturbing activities of Hinduvta outfit on March 31st 2016 in Phagwara. Around a dozen leaders of Shiv Sena Samajvadi reportedly resigned from their posts citing provocative activities of the Hinduvta outfit had led to tensions between Sikh organisations and activists of the Shiv Sena. Notably a Shiv Sena leader was killed in a road accident and Shiv Sena had started targeting Sikh passersby. Kapil Verma and Honey Singh of Shiv Sena Samajvadi said that the Shiv Sena Party was trying to create disturbance in Punjab. Around a dozen leaders of Punjab’s Shiv Sena decided to resign from Shiv Sena to protest against wrongful policies of the outfit. Kapil Verma was chairman of Punjab Youth Shiv Sena (Samajvadi) and Honey Singh was North India general secretary of the Shiv Sena Samajvadi. Other Shiv Sena leaders and activists who have tendered their resignations include Shiv Sena youth vice-president Rajnish Gill, Prakash Chander vice-president (Punjab) and Sunil Bunty (district President), Parvinder, Mofi Dogra, Sonu Thapar, Sunny Bhatti, Ajay Verma, Rahul, Ranjit, Jhony, Vishal, Raaj Billa Jagga, Rohit, Ankit, Franky Verma and Karan. What were they resigning about? I would suggest as Punjabi Hindus they had their consciences pricked by the beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib in Punjab.
How is leading a protest equal to winning elections? How is leading a protest against democratic process? Elections are won by issues being raised and then taken up bandwagon style by politicians who promise to do this and that to remedy the reason for the protest. That’s democracy. You can’t have legitimate elections
without allowing protest or access to the media or the right to association or the right to due process of law (instead of which we have arbitrary arrests of Sikhs according to political expediency). What are you so afraid of? The right to free speech? The right of free association? The right of Sikhs to even gather and talk about beadbi of their very Guru?
Udham SIngh, Bhagat Singha and Mahatma Gandhi were produced by rule of British Empire? Where do you think India comes from? Before East India subjugation of the subcontinent (and the sovereign state of Maharajah Ranjit SIngh’s Khalsa Raj was the very last piece of that jigsaw puzzle) there was no India. That is a historical fact – just take a look at the cultural differences (religion, diet, clothing and historical differences between the Punjabis and the people’s of Bengal, Gujrat, Tamil Nadu et al. The Sikhs agreed to be part of India based on promises that their distinct identity and sovereign nature (as they had had a sovereign independent nation of their own prior to the British) would be respected but these were reneged upon leading to Sikh disgruntlement formalised in the Anandpur Sahib Resolutions back in the sixties and seventies which demanded that the Indian State recognise its obligations. Breaking someone’s trust is like crumpling up a perfect piece of paper. You can always smooth it over but it will never be the same again.
As for 1984 genocide you are again adopting the the genocide denier’s position that Indian weren’t responsible for the murder, rape, looting, scalping, burning to death of the Sikhs but it was some existential foreign other. Another pathetic attempt not only to rewrite history but to actually expunge it. Tell me which ‘Empire’ exactly was responsible? The British, Roman, Byzantine, Moghul were all extinct at the time. Tell me which one was it because I saw Indian nationals in brown skins and screaming epithets in Hindi as they put tyres of burning kerosene around the necks of my brethren. “I’m sorry” is a statement. “I won’t do it again” is a promise. “How do I make it up to you” is a responsibility. You are not prepared to do even the first to address a glaring injustice against the Sikhs. Goethe once said ‘A Good man apologises for the mistakes of the past. A great man corrects them’. The same applies to my country if it is to be great which was the dream of Sikhs like Udham Singh and Bhagat Singh when the Sikh nation agreed to throw in its lot with India back in 1947. ‘No one can form a nation without concurrence of Empire’? Which ’empire’ helped Maharajah Ranjit Singh band the Sikh misls together to drive out the Moghuls and deny the British (who dared not engage with Ranjit in open battle during his lifetime and chose instead the Dogra traitors to betray his youngest son’s rule)?

  5. I have not specified any particular religion.
I have said that generally religious people are capable of creating Chao’s and anarchy in a multi religious country like ours..
If you want things to improve in Punjab then win a election and become a law maker.
You can then make a Punjab of your choice.

    • You have posted on a ‘Sikh’ website on a story about ‘Sikh’ leaders wishing to exercise their democratic right and religious duty to protest against the repeated beadbi incidences of our Guru – how then can you possibly try to contend you were not commenting on any specific religion? I know you are not a Sikh and so I should not expect the same standard but really even as a supporter of the RSS you should have the courage of your conditions and not try to hide behind weasel words of ambiguity. As for ‘generally religious people create chaos and anarchy in our country’ could you tell me which religion those who organised state sponsored pogroms against Sikhs were? Can you tell me the religion of those who have done beadbi not just of Guru Granth Sahib but also the Christian Bible and Muslim Quran? Can you tell me the religion of those police officers who have engaged in extra judicial kidnappings, torture, rape and murder of Sikhs since 1984? It is not religion or religious people who crate anarchy and chaos but those who hide behind unjust laws and hypocritical living. And by definition when you say religious people you mean the Sikhs as they are obliged by Guru Granth Sahib to readily identify their religious affiliation by the five kakkars so you are expressing a specific religious bias if not outright bigotry against the Sikh kaum. As for things will improve in Punjab if you win an election how exactly are we supposed to win elections when you do your utmost to frustrate the democratic process such as objecting to Sikh leaders organising a protests march to protest against beadbi of our Guru? It is your religious intolerance and ignorance which is on display here as clearly you do not understand or care that Sikhs revere their Guru as a living Guru and not not just simple holy book (your words used numerous times in previous posts). You don’t want the ‘uppity’ SIkhs to raise a fuss, a hue and cry over the simple desecretion of their ‘holy book’ when I have explained to you again and again Guru Granth Sahib is our living Guru and we do not have the same sentiment as you. You must allow proper democratic process before you talk of legitimacy through winning elections – Sikhs are instead stopped from protesting (as is their democratic right), from even speaking to other Sikhs, arrested on false charges and repeatedly harassed. Remember true national Shaheeds Udham Singh, Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandi broke the law of the land and none of them were ever elected to lead their people. It is right to oppose unjust laws otherwise the British would still be running India. That historical lesson shows that the ‘legitimacy’ of law and lawmakers depends on their respect for the sovereign right of the people to self determination not servile obedience. You live in a democratic country because of that and should not be thinking to adopt Mughal and British domination mentality over the Sikhs.

  6. Punjab government and Police should Keep a check on all religious guys .
They can create chaos and anarchy in a todays peaceful Punjab.
The Regime must follow the Law of Land made by its Law makers and make Punjab into an

    “UTOPIAN SOCIETY”

    • RSS Harinder (not his real name but a cynical nom de plume to mask his agent provacateur credentials) hates the Sikhs and their religion and indeed their glorious history – that is why he has no problem whatsoever in backing the police and government in murdering them extra-judically and even openly in broad daylight in the street. You are a well known RSS troll and your support for their fascist beliefs is very telling when you use the word ‘regime’ without flinching (instead of administration) which applies to totalitarian states. I would say you have perverted the notion of democracy and even patriotism but it is clear to me from all the debate I have tried to have with you on this website (and your complete inability to answer questions pointing out your hypocritical stance and demand that Sikhs be slaves) that you do not understand democracy, human rights or even peaceful co-existence with fellow citizens who just so happen to follow another religious theosophy other than Hinduvta which is intent upon domination through the rewriting of history books, the bleeding dry of Punjab of its only natural resource and desire to eliminate the majority Punjabi population (through drugs or false arrests to just shooting Sikhs dead in the street by the police). You are the person that needs to be kept a check on.

    • We have had the beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib in past year with RSS and other Hinduvta groups delighting and now with desecrations of Musslaman’s Quran in Malerkotla where one of the three suspects arrested, Nand Kishore Goldy, is State Secretary of Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP). Radical Hindu organizations (and the RSS is a terrorist accused militia) who claim to be plaintiffs of ‘National Integrity’ are demolishing the communal harmony in Punjab and are the ones who need strict action brought against them rather than trying to introduce ever more draconian laws which let the police shoot Sikh protesters dead in the street without any punishment whatsover. It’s not the Sikh people who are the problem let alone those who wish to exercise their democratic constitutional right to protest but rather those who wish to keep them under heel and have used numerous highly suspect laws (TADA, POTA etc) to ‘legitimise’ systematic human rights abuses against the people of Punjab (yes including Hindus too if you wish to look at the terrible story of Bapu Chaman Lal). There is no line of distinction between the self serving polity and the totally subservient police and judiciary in Punjab which now only serve as the hobnailed boot to the politician’s foot in stamping on the people’s civic and human rights.
As for anarchy have you still not understood that Sikhs have been forced to live in their homeland for more than 30 years in a disturbed Punjab? The ethnic cleansing knot has been turned tight every year – extra judicial kidnappings, torture and murder of Sikh jawans, drugs being pumped into the youth who survived that and now even the dwindling drinking water of Punjab unfit to drink because it has been polluted and stolen. Those Sikhs who could not bear the pressure of violent human rights abuses from the police (and even then are pursued to Portugal on trumped up charges which are thrown out of European courts) and economic strangling by the polity have fled abroad as political asylum seekers and economic migrants leaving their brethren to be subjected to a drug assault by corrupt police officers (your erstwhile law enforcers) and their political masters (your Punjab Government’s Badal clan’s Majithia is accused of being heavily involved in drug traffiking for example or Suhkbir Badal and Amarinder Singh acting like Ghajini professing ignorance over the diversion of Punjab’s canal waters or the family’s Swiss bank accounts). 8 police were booked (but tellingly not arrested) under section 304 in Amritsar on 7th July for ‘staging’ an encounter in June last year where Mukhjit Singh Mukha was shot dead by them. And they are accused of culpable homicide not even amounting to murder?! These are the ‘respectable’ and ‘decent’ law makers and laws you want us to be slavishly deferential to and abandon our constitutional, democratic and human right to protest? I think you should move to North Korea where you can expect the populace to fake smiles and wave flags as they are told their great leader has just won 99% of the vote.

  7. On one side they are arresting a person ( who belongs to an opposition party) who’s statement has hurt the sentiments of the sikhs who has since apologized for his mistake and on the other they are arresting the sikhs for exercising their fundamental democratic right to protest in cases where sikhs are genuinely hurt to the core. What a panthic govt ? with friends like this do we need any enemies. Does this govt thinks sikhs are fools and they don’t see the dirty politics behind all this?
