LUDHIANA, Punjab—Force feeding Bapu Surat Singh with liquid supplements had caused a fluid build up in his lungs. As his condition has now worsened, doctors have begun injecting blood into his body due to a declining hemoglobin level.
Bapu Ji’s son has informed Sikh24 that a second unit of blood is currently being injected. He said that due to the injection of liquid supplements, water formation in Bapu Ji’s body has begun occurring and the doctors are removing water from his body daily, using syringes.
Gogi expressed worry that Bapu Ji’s body may not be able to survive for too long due to the malpractices by the doctors.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is still on hunger protest, ever since January 16 2015, against the illegal detention of political Sikh prisoners who have served their mandatory term of sentencing.
“The Punjab government is brutally torturing him so he gives up his stance on the prisoners,” said his son Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi.
