ANANDPUR SAHIB, Punjab—Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib management has stated that electric cars are providing great benefits.  These cars facilitate devotees to easily arrive at the Takht Sahib building, as many devotees are unable to climb the stairs.  In addition, there has been reduced pollution and emissions due to the use of electric cars.

Eearlier, old aged and physically weak devotees were facing problems in crossing sharp hill type inclination in the path that leads towards Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib.  The SGPC has imposed a ban earlier on petrol and diesel vehicles from coming too close to the proximity due to pollution concerns.

Manager Sukhwinder Singh Grewal of Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib informed Sikh24 that they had purchased 3 cars worth Rs. 7 lakh each as per the instructions of the SGPC President Avtar Makkar. He added that two cars are being operated for the facility of devotees while one is kept reserved for emergency use.
