AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Denying the news that Pakistan Sikh girls are being brought into the fold of Islam through marriages with Muslim boys, west Punjab MLA Ramesh Singh Arora said that Sikhs are fully safe in the country.
He said that in Pakistan the young generation is being recruited in various departments and the Sikh youth have a sizeable representation among them. Sikhs are happily working as teachers, doctors, policemen, army men and politicians, etc.
He termed the statement that there is a big threat before the existence of Sikhs and their population is decreasing as baseless . He said it was a conspiracy on the part of mischievous elements who made such statements to break Sikh attachment with Gurdwara Sri Nanakana Sahib and other Sikh shrines.
“Sikh sangat knows very well that irrespective of being a minority, they are getting respect in the country just like Muslim families,” he said.
