SGPC Sends Relief Material for Pilgrims Stranded in Uttrakhand Flood

UtterakhandAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has sent relief material to the pilgrims who are stranded in flood-hit areas of Sikh shrine Sri Hemkunt Sahib, Gobind Dham, Joshi Math and various other places of Utterakhand.  The relief material will be provided to Sikh pilgrims, as well as other people in need.

The truck containing ration and other required material was flagged off by Sri Darbar Sahib manager Partap Singh from Guru Ramdas Langar Hall.

In this regard, the SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar said the supreme Sikh body had served the victims of every natural calamity without any discrimination. Along with the truck, Sri Darbar Sahib additional manager Harpreet Singh, Gurdwara inspector Balwinder Singh and Langar incharge Harbhinder Singh also went to the flood affected areas.
