LUDHIANA, Punjab—Bhai Gurdeep Singh (Khera) was brought to Punjab earlier today from Karnataka. Bhai Sahib was lodged in solitary confinement for a period of 25 years.
The transfer of Bhai Gurpreet Singh was being awaited since earlier this week. It is important to mention that today, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s hunger strike entered its 161st day. Supporters and family members of Bapu Surat Singh rushed to the Ludhiana railway station to welcome Bhai Gurdeep Singh.
Sangarsh committee had notified Sikh24 earlier this week that Bhai Gurdeep Singh’s transfer would likely happen before Friday this week. They stated that more Singhs would likely be transferred to Punjab in the coming days while other Singhs maybe released soon.
