SULTANPUR LODHI, Punjab—Satkar Committee member Karamjit Singh who was arrested on Thursday for allegedly beating pathis ‘mercilessly’ was presented before the court of Manpreet Kaur (additional civil judge, senior division Sultanpur Lodhi) by the Police. The court allowed the Police to keep him in its remand for three days.
Police demanded his remand citing various arguments which were agreed upon by the judge. He said that the police are raiding on various places on the basis of interrogation.
Meanwhile, Satkar Committee chief Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khosa said that his residence is under surveillance of Lohian Police and various policemen have been deployed there.
It is notable that Satkar Committee is in headlines these days after a video of thrashing pathis went viral on social media. In the video, members of the organization are beating up the pathis for committing disrespect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and violating edict of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. However, their way of acting against the respective pathis courted controversy and a Punjabi newspaper Ajit is spreading ‘propaganda’ against the Committee to ensure rigid action against them.
A true Singh would not knock another Singhs Pagh off and continue to beat him. And beat up elderly pathi’s. Karamjit “Singh” will get what is coming to him in jail, what goes around comes around, KARMA.
Yes i know the pathi’s where wrong for doing what they did, why can’t both parties just sit down and talk it through. Our beautiful Punjab is turning in to a hell hole

how can you compare satkar committee to the taliban. yes satkar committee need educating but those pathis also need educating. Sikhism is being attacked from every angle but it does not mean we (Sikhs) react like this. as for taliban there are far worse organisations then satkar committee that are more like the taliban the rss / bjp force conversions, rss trying there best to destroy sikhism. I dont see punjab police arresting rss goons.

how can you compare satkar comate with Taliban ? they not forcing any one to change their faith ? if some one really like to show very moderation , if their father get disrespected they give flowers to them to prove what they are preaching to others
There are more important issues for the Panth,Sikhs have not yet been able to receive any justice for the 1984 genocide,,the people responsible for distroyings hundreds of Gurdwaras are roaming free.
Satkar committee members should try beating the people who have distroyed our Gurdwaras since 1984 if they are true Singhs. Shame on these 15 parkandi so called sikhs.

Satkar committee now getting satkar from police. These lathmar people should be controlled by the administration otherwise they will turn Punjab like Taliban rule, in Afghanistan. On the other side proper action should also be taken by police if anybody disrespect any religious place and religious book.Does not matter if the person is a Sikh, Hindu, Muslim or christian.All religions should be respected according to the constitution of India, for religious freedoms.
These people represent the Taliban thought that exists amongst some of the Sikhs .
The law must take suitable action against such fanatical behavior which is a antithesis to modern day world and life.

Feeling so relaxed after reading this news. Felt ashamed of what the committee members did. Gurbani never taught this to us. Amritdharis beating cruely amritdharis, what impact would it leave on others, shameful!
Satkar Committee members taken the law in their gands and treated poor pathies very cruelly. This action of Satkar Committee is diplorable. Talibaan style to teach lesson to poors is shameful act. We are sikhs and respect our guru whole heartedly, but these committee members done bad for our religion.
