CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Producer of animated film ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ Harry Baweja is now planning to make another animation film on Sikh history. He released DVD of his super-hit film ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ in Punjabi, Hindi and English.

Talking to media persons, he said that the film was screened in cinemas for 15 weeks which encouraged him to work on similar projects.

Talking on not courting any controversy in his animated movie, he said he had remained in touch with Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Sri Akal Takht Sahib for five years. “After thorough discussion with these authorities, he had completed the movie. As a result, the movie received great response India as well as abroad”, he added.

Although, Sikhs appreciated the film on Chaar Sahibzade (four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) in view of its animation character but it paved the way for personification of Guru Sahib and other respected personalities of Sikh history in films which is being termed as a great loss for the Sikhs.  A new movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ is going to be released soon, in which individuals have played role of Guru Nanak Sahib and other respected historical personalities.
