BARNALA, Punjab—Though Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa finished his hunger strike, the trend of hunger strikes seeking justice from the Indian government is still at its peak. The hunger strike of Bhai Vikram Singh Dhanaula seeking justice for the November 1984 Sikh genocide victims has entered its 45th day. Meanwhile, Bapu Surat Singh’s hunger strike for the release of Sikh detainees is in its 7th day.
It is noteworthy that Vikram Singh Dhanaula was highlighted in the media as a shoe hurler in past days, when he hurled a shoe towards Chief Minister of Punjab S. Parkash Badal. Then he became an Amritdhari Singh and started his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. The police took down his tent from Jantar Mantar but Vikram Dhanaula is keeping to his word by continuing his hunger strike. Bhai Mohinder Singh Dangarh, Sanjay Singh Gurinder Singh, Balvir Singha and some ingh’s are supporting Bhai Dhanaula on the site.
Baba Surat Singh Khalsa is keeping the his pledge after the end of the hunger strike of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa. He is on hunger strike in Hasanpur Village. It is noteworthy that Baba Surat Singh was a nearby companion of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and he was arrested during the holocaust of June, 1984 at Sri Harmandir Sahib. His photo became popular in media with hands tied behind his back by the Indian Armed forces. Baba Surat Singh remained imprisoned for a long time and he was suspended from his post in the Government Sector. After that, Baba Surat Singh is working for the well being of the Sikh nation with dedication.
May be cause he belonged from a hindu family and became an amritdhari later on. We see people converting to our religion with suspision and donot support them until they die for us. But people forget that all the panj pyare were born in hindu family before they become khalsa. Bhagat puran singh, master tara singh, bhai nand lal ji were all hindus before.
I can see this happening very closely as my wife also coverted from hindu to sikh by becoming amritdhari. Its quite strange behaviour, but its a harsh reality.

Waheguru.. Please keep updating Bhai Sahib jis conditions!! Gurbaksh SIngh ji started the morcha and see how far it go!! DONT DIVIDE. KEEP THE EKTA!!! Maybe Bhai Sahib Gurbaksh feared death or had other reasons who knows, but he still started the movement!! Dont let Government win !!!! They want to destroy this MORCHA and SANGARSH!!! They want Singhs dead !!! And for what we need a DEAD Gurbaksh Singh ??? Better to have him alive!!
