Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind Acquitted Of All Cases

JALANDHAR, Punjab—Today, the Jalandhar Sessions Court of Judge Mandip Singh Dhillon has acquitted Akali Dal Panch Pardhani (ADPP) president, Kulvir Singh Barapind, in a false case dating back to September 2012.

It is widely believed that Kulvir Singh was framed in the case for political reasons by the Punjab Government.

The police registered the case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and fabricated the recovery of some weapons while Kulvir Singh was confined in Ludhaina jail. With a fake case and planted evidence, the story was now complete and Kulvir Singh was sent to Nabha Maximum Security Jail where he waited for 2 years to clear his name.

Today, the Judge rejected the police case as completely baseless and therefore, found Kulvir Singh Barapind not guilty of any of the offences on the charge-sheet. Bhai Kulvir Singh can be seen in the photos the moment he stepped out from court a free man.
