Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa Holds Critical Meeting for Success of August 10th Panthik March

FATEHGARH SAHIB, Punjab—During a meeting held at the residence of S. Simranjit Singh Mann in Fatehgarh Sahib, the Shiromani Akali Dal (A) leader promised to provide all necessary support to ensure the success of August 10 march being organized by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa. The march is being organized by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa from Gurdwara Amb Sahib to Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa had campaigned at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar last year in December when he went on a hunger strike to seek the release of Sikh political prisoners.

During the Gurdwara Amb Sahib Morcha, some forefront organizers had refused to give an opportunity for S. Simranjit Singh Mann to speak. It was being perceived that there might have been an internal difference between Bhai Khalsa and S. Mann, however the recently held meeting in Fatehgarh Sahib has cleared up all misconceptions.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has said that the August 10 march is being organized to unite the entire Khalsa Panth and to seek release of Sikh political prisoners once again. The march will be held on foot, and an appeal has been made to everyone to join the march from all parts of Punjab.

Gurpreet Singh Guri, one of the main organizers, told Sikh24 that over 1,000 attendees are expected to take part in the march.
