NEW DELHI—Some key developments were noticed at the hunger strike initiated by Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti at Jantar Mantar.  Bhai Iqbal Singh was visited by a number of Aam Aadmi Party members and Sikhs.  Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, has issued a support letter stating that he would seek the release of Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar as well as call for a fast track court.

Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti was also questioned and humiliated by SHO (Station House Office, in charge) Sukhdev Mann earlier today.  Bhai Bhatti was asked to come down from the stage and meet the SHO in person who asked him about his passport and nationality.  SHO Mann asked Bhai Iqbal Singh to vacate Jantar Mantar or else face consequences.  As per unconfirmed reports, the Police may attempt to pick up Bhai Iqbal Singh at midnight and deport him back to France.

There was also ruckus at the stage today when a member of Shiromani Akali Dal UK tried to force feed orange juice to Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti.  Bhai Bhatti has requested members of the Sant Samaj and other Jathebandis to come to Jantar Mantar on Wednesday to discuss further courses of action as Arvind Kejriwal has offered to take action on the most important demands.

In addition, Sikh Youth Federation Bhindrawale have handed over Bhai Bhatti’s memorandum to Akal Takht Sahib’s appointed Jathedar.
