Another Sikh nominated to Pakistan Assembly

LAHORE, Pakistan—After winning elections in Pakistans’s Frontier Province, Imran Khan’s party “Tehreek-i-Insaf” voted for Sardar Swarn Singh as a Sikh member for their party.

Sardar Swarn Singh was the former president of the Pakistan Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee.

Ahsan Iqbal (Member Pakistan Assembly) said that the the participation of Sikh members in Pakistan politics would assure the proper management of Gurdwaras in Pakistan following the Sikh code of conduct.  He said that now issues relating to minority communities in Pakistan would be better address.

    We love them equally they got every chance to develop & serve PAKISTAN to their potential. PAKISTAN is not only for us Muslims but for all who were born on this land.
