CHANDIGARH, Punjab—In response to a request submitted by the All India Defense Brotherhood under the Right to Information Act, the Home Minister and Chief Office of Indian Army has said that only five Sikh Soldiers became victim of Hindu mobs during Sikh Genocide of November 1984. The leaders of AIDB said in press conference that the statistics of Army Head Quarter shows that 15 Sikh soldiers were killed during this genocide, out of which 5 belonged to the Army, 8 to the Air Force and 2 to Navy. The leaders said that the reality is that hundreds of Sikhs were killed during this genocide and hundreds are still untraceable. Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Kahlon said that none of the Indian Government departments or ministers is daring to disclose the factual information.
Lt. Gen. Kartar Singh Gill, Major Genral Charanjit Singh Panag, Colonel Sandhu, Colonel Bhinder, Colonel Multani, Colonel Gill and the other leaders said that the information of Sikh Soldiers who died during this genocide was destroyed under a conspiracy planned at the Government Level.
The leaders said that the Sikh officials that tried to collect information about the dead soldiers were targeted by the radical elements of the then Government. They said the promotions of such officials were also stopped. They said that they are having evidences of 55 soldiers killed during the Sikh Genocide of November 1984 at railway stations of Tugalkabad, Nangloyi etc.
