Bail for Suraksha Samiti Terrorists who Tried to Attack Hawara

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Three members of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Suraksha Samiti, a Right Wing organization, were given bail by the court yesterday. Ashutosh Gautam, Rakesh Dutt, and Munish Sood, were held responsible for planning an attack on Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara outside the Chandigarh Court Complex on November 11, 2011. Although the attack on Bhai Hawara was foiled, the police arrested the men, along with their leader Nishant Sharma.

It should be noted that the Suraksha Samiti organization has been making public statements offering cash prize for anyone beheading Bhai Hawara. Recently, at a party meeting, they raised the amount to Rs. 11 lakh and encouraged Shiv Sena activists to take action against Sikh political prisoners.

Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara is currently lodged in Delhi’s high security Tihar Jail, along with Bhai Paramjeet Singh Bheora. Both are co-accused in the Beant “Singh” (Former Punjab Chief Minster) assassination case. On November 11, 2011, as the Suraksha Samiti militants tried to launch attack on Bhai Hawara, however Bhai Hawara was quick to intercept and responded by slapping back the pro-Shiv Sena terrorists.
