BIRMINGHAM, UK—Amrit Kaur Loyal, the mother of 8-year old Gurkiren Kaur Loyal, has told an inquest that she believes an Indian medic took her daughter’s life with a mystery injection.
Gurkiren Kaur, from Birmingham UK, fell ill after arriving in Punjab for a family holiday where she met her grandparents for the first time. The young girl died after being treated in the Punjab clinic with an injection for what appeared to be a routine stomach bug.
Gurkiren’s mother, Amrit Kaur, says that she questioned the medic before the injection was administered but received a blank look.
I asked the assistant “what’s that injection for?” He just turned his face. He walked around the bed and I said to him ‘I’m asking you a question,’ but he injected her neck.
As soon as he did that her neck went floppy and her eyes rolled and I thought “oh my god, she’s gone.”
They did not try to resuscitate her so I screamed for the doctor. He came up but said there was nothing they could do for her.
“She would have had a perfectly good life if they let her live. I deeply believe it was the surgeon that took her life. That I know for a fact, deep down.”
Parents Santokh Singh Loyal and Amrit Kaur Loyal blame the clinic for not resuscitating Gurkiren after the injection and police for never formally investigating the death.
An inquest ruled the cause of death as uncertain and gave an open conclusion.
Dr. Gerald Langman, a pathologist at Heartlands Hospital, performed an in-depth analysis of the body. He told the inquest that it was impossible to give a cause of death because of the decay in the organs began before the body was sent back to the UK and, because in some cases only parts of the organs had been supplied.
It is believed that the Birmingham school girl was murdered in a failed attempt to harvest her organs. Her family claimed that she was subjected to a “medieval” post-mortem examination during which all her major organs were removed in a bid to hide the truth of how she had been killed.
They said they only discovered her organs had been taken when her body was flown home to the UK.
