AMRITSAR SAHIB—Two important matters were undecided at the recently held meeting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Giani Gurbachan Singh, appointed Jathedar, addressing the media saying that the matter of the Nanakshahi calendar is associated with the whole Sikh community and many other suggestions are being presented regarding its amendments, while many more are awaited. Jathedars also did not decide upon the recent mess at Takht Sri Patna Sahib.
In relation to Giani Iqbal Singh, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the details of the incident which occurred on January 7th, 2014 have already been submitted to the Akal Takht Sahib. Giani Gurbachan Singh once again condemned Giani Iqbal Singh’s decision to register a case with the policeagainst Takht Sri Patna sahib parbandhak committee members.
Giani Iqbal Singh had demanded that head granthi, Giani Partap Singh appointed by board should be rusticated and the committee should be dissolved. Giani Gurbachan Singh has clearly said that while the police case continues, no decision will be taken from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
