Nagar Kirtan from Sultanpur Lodhi to Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) from February 22

TARN TARAN SAHIB, Punjab—A Nagar Kirtan dedicated to 550th Prakash Purab of  Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji will be organized later this month. The program will start from Gurdwara Ber Sahib Sultanpur Lodhi on February 22 and will be complete at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) on March 7.

Dr. Jagdeep Singh Kala Sodhi, the chief sevadar of the Nirol Seva Sansthan Sri Muktsar Sahib told Sikh24 that the Nagar Kirtan on the first day will start from Sultanpur Lodhi and the night’s rest will be at Sri Darbar Sahib Tarn Taran. Nagar Kirtan will complete at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) departing from Dera Baba Nanak on March 7, the last and the 15th day. Sodhi informed that the Nagar Kirtan will go through 16 districts of Punjab. Floats of various Gurdwaras will be included in Nagar Kirtan.

In this Nagar Kirtan, the world’s largest models of Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib will be placed on big trailers. A big moving manifestation of Sikh history will also be a part of this Nagar Kirtan. “Jathas on elephants and horses will increase the beauty of kagar kirtan, managing Director Dr. Jagdeep Singh Sodhi informed Sikh24. “Baba Avtar Singh Dal Baba Bidhi Chand Sur Singh is giving special support for this Nagar Kirtan.”

Nirol Seva Sansthan Dhulkot District Sri Muktsar Sahib has appealed for registration of Sangat who want to join Nagar Kirtan. He said that the aspirants can get their registration by February 15 to join the Nagar Kirtan by visiting the website to register themselves.
