Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola’s Contributions to the Panth Remembered in Tarn Taran on his 5th Passing Away Anniversary

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The 5th death anniversary of the former AISSF leader Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was today observed at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib situated within the premises of Sri Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran. Notably, Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was the son-in-law of octogenarian Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa and he actively supported Bapu Ji’s struggle for the release of political Sikh prisoners till his last breath.

An Akhand Path Sahib in this concern was laid on August 16 at Sri Manji Sahib and was culminated today.

Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Raagi Jatha of Bhai Harjit Singh delighted the Sikh sangat by singing Gurbani shabads ਗਗਨ ਦਮਾਮਾ ਬਾਜਿਓ ਪਰਿਓ ਨੀਸਾਨੈ ਘਾਉ ।। ਖੇਤੁ ਜੁ ਮਾਂਡਿਓ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਬ ਜੂਝਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਉ ।।੧ ।। and ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਲਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥ in melodious tones. 

The SGPC appointed Granthi Singhs performed ardas on this occasion and read the sacred hukamnama.

It may be recalled here that Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was stabbed to death by two unidentified assailants in Peoria (near Chicago, USA) under mysterious circumstances on August 17, 2015. At this time, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s struggle for the release of political Sikh prisoners was at a peak in Punjab.
