VIDEO: Akal Takht Jathedar expresses doubt over the reliability of coronavirus test

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC appointed officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has  expressed apprehension over the projection of a large number of Sikh pilgrims returned from Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib as coronavirus patients. He has said that it seems like similar is happening with the Sikhs what happened with Tablighi Jamaat’s Muslims few days back.

He has also expressed doubt over coronavirus tests being conducted by the laboratories in Punjab.

Giani Harpreet Singh has said that all the pilgrims were tested thrice in Nanded during the last 40 days and none of them depicted symptoms of coronavirus but how come they tested positive on entering Punjab.

“I talked to Jathedar of Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib and he has informed me that only two cases had come to fore in Nanded. One of them has recovered while the other one is battling,” Giani Harpreet Singh said.
