Shiromani Raagi Sabha announces to boycott Verka village

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Pained over the denial of using the crematorium to cremate Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s mortal remains, the Shiromani Raagi Sabha has announced to boycott Verka village.

As per the decision taken by Shiromani Raagi Sabha, no Raagi Singh will attend any religious program in Verka village despite getting invited there.

Bhai Onkar Singh, who heads Shiromani Raagi Sabha, has also raised questions over the working of administration by saying that how come around 200 people gathered outside Verka village’s crematorium despite imposition of curfew.

He has also questioned the Verka residents that where would they cremate the dead body if anyone of them becomes the victim of coronavirus like Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa.

“Whatsoever occurred at village Verka, we take it as a humiliation entire professional class of Raagis and not only Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa,” he said.

Bhai Onkar Singh further said that every true Sikh was ready to offer his / her land for cremating Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s mortal remains, it’s different that the administration was not meant to hand over his mortal remains to anyone.

Bhai Onkar Singh has also raised questions over the working of administration as per the information shared by Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa’s son.

  1. It is sad state of affairs in Punjab. Bhai sahib is correct. People who opposed his antim sanskar think they are immortal and coronavirus will not affect them or their families are really in for a big surprise. Mark my word. It is coming to them and it is just matter of time! They will be in worst shape than this Gurmukh and hope they get their last rites properly.
