SGPC announces to support Punjab government for quarantining coronavirus suspects

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has announced to support the Punjab Health Department for quarantining coronavirus victims in the time of need. For this purpose, the SGPC has arrangements at Sri Guru Ram Dass Medical College and Hospital in the holy city Amritsar Sahib.

Speaking to Sikh24, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal informed that the SGPC is ready to offer every type of possible assistance to the Punjab Health Department in battle against coronavirus. “We will offer the rest houses of various Gurdwaras for quarantining coronavirus suspects besides offering langar to the needy people,” he added.

“The coronavirus pandemic is a matter of concern globally so the SGPC is ready for offering every type of possible assistance to the administration and supporting the needy people,” Longowal said.
