Count of devotees drastically comes down at Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—A large declination in the count of devotees is observable at sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib due to coronavirus outbreak in India. A very few devotees are coming to pay obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine today.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the PTC channel has decided to increase time of live telecast from Sri Harmandir Sahib so that the devotees could listen Gurbani Kirtan in their homes.

  1. They should all still go! There should be a mass naaaaaaam jap to destroy the Coronavirus, similar to the Modi-Hindu style banging of pots and pans and similar to the mass chanting done by the brahmins to scare off the invading Babur armies in the 15th century. All Sikh ‘devotees’ who are eager to go to the ‘Golden Temple’, should still go as they are re-inforced by the invisible power of ‘naam jap’. Surely, ‘naam jap’ is mightier than the Coronavirus?! Likewise, Sikh communities across the world should revert to the mass ‘naam jap’ gatherings to confront this evil virus. Why have the ‘naam jap’ practitioners become so absent from the forefront now! Naam is the be all and end of life!
