CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Amid coronavirus outbreak in Punjab, the Punjab government has launched a mobile application named COVA to aware common masses about the COVID-19. Term COVA stands for corona-virus-alert.

Sharing the development with media on March 9, Punjab’s Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh informed that this mobile application would inform people to check for symptoms as provided by the government from time to time and follow the advisory given thereafter. “The app also suggests the nearest hospital and nodal officer of the district where the patient can reach in case he is symptomatic,” he added.

This mobile application is available in Android Play as well as in iOS App Store with the name COVA Punjab. The updates and instruction being passed by the government will be made available on this app regularly.
